New York Streets: Pure Perfection

Image
This is designer, art director & illustrator Jeffrey Williams. I spotted Jeffrey today in Topshop & just had to chase him up the escalators to get his picture!! Everything about him was perfection, the hair, the coat, the fur jacket underneath, everything down to the red laces. I just loved his style. He was carrying the most incredible bag too (I can't believe I didn't get it in the picture!!) and it turned out to be one of his own designs. Jeffrey, get in touch because I desperately want one of those bags!!! ;)

New York Streets: Icelandic Beauty

Image
This girl was not only gorgeous on the outside but she was also one of the nicest people I've met since I moved to New York, and that's saying a lot because everyone is insanely friendly over here!! She was telling me how she moved to New York 8 months ago to be with her American boyfriend & whenever she told people she was from Iceland they just thought she was Irish.

New York Streets: Opening Ceremony style

Image
Pretty much every member of staff in Opening Ceremony today looked so stylish that I wanted to get a snap of them!! I did however manage to get pics of these two gorgeous ladies with two very different but equally fabulous styles. I loved the first girls accessories and the second girls gorgeous navy blazer. They were really friendly and helpful too...a little too helpful. I spent way too much money and I wont be returning until I pay off my credit card bill...or maybe I'll go back tomorrow to pick up one of the Unearthen necklaces!!

The Pain of Goodbyes

Image
As I mentioned a few days ago, I have just moved to New York. An incredible adventure!! But with this wonderful experience comes a lot of pain because I had to leave behind the love of my life for God knows how long! Before I left though, he gave me the most romantic & beautiful gift. He carved this heart shaped box from a piece of wood he found in his garden in Slovakia and inside it he placed this beautiful gold locket with a compass on the front, so I will always know my way home.

Gold Bag From Egypt

Image
There is so much history to this bag, I absolutely adore it! About thirty years ago when my grandparents were in Egypt, my granddad had this bag specially made for my nana! It is made with real gold leaf and has her initials inscribed on the front and the inside is made of a soft camel coloured leather. I wore it with an Egyptian style dress to a friends wedding and it got more attention then any accessory I've ever had!! I just hope that I can pass it on to my granddaughter one day.

Lanvin Scarf Collection

Image
I got this collection of vintage Lanvin scarves at an auction last year and I adore them!! I didn't see the scarves before I bid for them, a little risky but when I saw the range of amazing colours and prints I was thrilled. I also got 2 incredible Balenciaga ones which I will post a pic of soon.

Goodbye Dublin...HELLO NEW YORK!!!!

After months of waiting and bureaucracy (evil evil word) I finally have my Visa for moving over to New York! I cant believe it is finally happening. I have booked my one way flight for this Wednesday. I am moving over to work as a design intern, the first step in following my dream of becoming a successful designer!! Well needless to say, my blog is going to take quite a turn from next week, for the better!!! So WATCH THIS SPACE :)

Dublin Style: Black Puffa Army

Image
You cant swing a cat in Dublin these days without smacking someone wearing a black puffa jacket!!! Do you love or loath the Puffa?? I think it can look great (the gorgeous belted Prada ones) or horrific (michelin man lookalikes)

I WANT, I WANT, I WANT: Jeffrey Campbell Buckled Wedge

These are the hottest shoes I have seen in a long time!! Amazingly fierce, strong and sexy. Oh yes, these will be mine...

Bat Your Lashes

Image
This is me (blue lashes) and a friend (pink lashes) at a fancy dress party with the most amazing fake eyelashes!! They looked great but felt soooo uncomfortable...well you know what they say "Pain is beauty" or in this case "Pain is quirky"!! Oh and check out the size of the shoulder pads on the jumpsuit i'm wearing, it was my Mom's in the 70's!!
