This guy is up on West Broadway near the Prince Street area, cant remember exactly! He has a classic old camera and takes pics of you in a supposedly famous spot then prints them for you there and then! The pics have a great grainy vintage quality. Very cute for a quick touristy style snap on the street.
5 days in Lucinda's Shoes

I work with this girl and about a week after starting my job I noticed that she always wore the most fantastic shoes!! They were quirky & unique and unlike anything I had ever seen in New York or Dublin for that matter. They almost remind of something I might have found in my granddads closet...except for the turquoise ones of course. She used to own over 100 pairs but sadly due to a lack of space (damn you tiny New York apartments) she had to give some away. I'll try to get more pics of her wonderful shoe collection soon...

The Nokia Young Irish Fashion Designer Awards have just come and gone again. A huge congratulations to everyone that reached the finals. This time last year I was lavishing all the wonderful attention of being a finalist and then dealing with the bitter taste of defeat! I decided to post some of my favorite pics from last years event, including a pic of my design which was taken by the amazing photographer Andreas Petterson & appeared in Life Magazine. Just a bit of shameless self promotion really!!

While browsing through the Columbus Street Flea Market last Sunday I came across the most wondrous stall. New York Artifact Art consists of hundreds of curiosities dug up from the 5 boroughs of New York. The genius behind the art is the wonderfully eccentric Scott Jordon who has been digging for New York's artifacts since 1969. He sells a wide range of artwork from collages displaying anything from one to hundreds of historic objects, shard pendants, wearable art, painted historic bottles and fine art (from still lifes of recoveries to primitive scenes of old New York). Check out www.newyorkartifactart.com or head to the Green Flea Market located on Columbus Avenue and West 76th & 77th. I

Zac Posen for Target Launch Party

There were celebrities in abundance at last night's Zac Posen for Target launch party, but the real stars of the evening were the clothes! On arrival at the New Yorker Hotel I was blown away by the incredible towering flower display, the ceilings covered in thousands of balloons but more importantly the row upon row of rails filled with the new Zac Posen for Target collection. The line was packed full of colorful, fun, wearable pieces that were snatched up by the hungry shoppers. Unlike some previous Target lines this one was full of quirky design details with impeccable finishing. My favorite piece was the multicolored maxi dress with the clever safety pin print, an absolute steal for $69.99 (worn on the night by Claire Danes) or the gorgeous brocade style dress and skirt. The doors are open to the public until 11pm tonight, so get down there quick if you havn't already or wait until the line hits Target stores & Target.com on April 25th.
